Sanfilippo is a speedy midfielder who has played a significant amount of his footy at Xavier College over the past 2 years. This makes it difficult to gauge just where he sits in this year’s weak draft however his speed will keep his name thereabouts.
Strengths: Speed and athleticism are the eye catching elements of his game. He gets enough of the footy to make an impact and he likes to run through the lines.
Weaknesses: Kicking is an area which Sanfilippo will need to refine. Technically he is ok but his decision making can seem extravagant and he tends to turn the ball over more than he should. Sanfilippo has a frame which would benefit from a few pre seasons in the gym.
Question marks: You just don’t know how good this bloke is. He has played a lot of Private School footy but he isn’t a Judd or Ball who absolutely stands outs but there is a bit to like.
