Potential Clubs:
Gold Coast Suns – They don’t really need a Ruckman but they could take him as best available.
West Coast Eagles – With the possible movement of Dean Cox and the fact that he is not getting anyd younger, the Eagles could draft Gorringe and pair him with Nic Natanui.
Essendon – They have David Hille as their Number 1 Ruckman but depth is questionable after that.
This could see Gorringe drafted as back-up for Hille, allowing Ryder to play elsewhere.
Summary:
Gorringe is a raw talent. He is only 198cm and weighs just 85kg. It remains to be seen what effects the AFL system will have on his body and whether or not he can bulk up to the size required of a modern AFL ruckman.
Draft Range – National Draft Pick 3 – 10.
