Details:
Club: Leschenault/Peel Thunder
DOB: 29 December 1986 Hgt: 188cm Wgt: 72kg
Position: Centre Half Forward
Natural Foot: Right
Honours:
Western Australia 2004
State Screening Camp 2004
2004 WAFL Stats:
Colts: 10 games, 14 goals, 10.4 PPG
Strengths: Thornton is a very athletic forward who can play as a flanker or a key position. He can take a good mark and his kicking is usually OK. Moves well and is can be aggressive with his attack on the footy.
Weaknesses: Had a very quiet carnival for WA which may have harmed his chances. Probably too small to hold down a key position at AFL level.
Footydraft.com comment: May not have done enough to get drafted, possibility to be looked at for a rookie list by the WA clubs.
