Position: Ruck Rover

Victoria Metro 2004 (Captain)
Ruck Rover in TAC Cup Team of the Year 2004
State Screening Camp 2004
TAC Stats:
2002: 3 games, 0 goals, 3.3 PPG
2003: 17 games, 2 goals, 15.6 PPG
2004: 18 games, 8 goals, 21.2 PPG
Strengths: The captain of Victoria Metro, Jolley is a hard working centreman who specialises in winning clearances. He really gets in and under and is very courageous with his work in close. Ben has great hands in close and good vision.
He will work very hard defensively with tackling and smothering, and covers a lot of territory over the course of a game. He is also a good leader, captaining both Calder and Victoria Metro in 2004.
Weaknesses: Kicking can be erratic, tends to kick around corners a lot. Although he gathers a lot of possessions can fail to damage the opposition enough at times. Not super quick.
Footydraft.com comment: Not a super strong draft for inside midfielders, which should see several clubs look at Jolley closely. I guess the concern is his size - would need to put on some muscle if he is going to play a ruck roving role at AFL level.
