Details:
Club: Minyip Murtoa/North Ballarat
DOB: 16 February 1986 Hgt: 189cm Wgt: 76kg
Position: Forward Pocket
Natural Foot: Left
Honours:
Victoria Country 2004
National Draft Camp 2004
TAC Stats:
2003: 5 games, 8 goals, 5.4 PPG
2004: 15 games, 25 goals, 9.9 PPG
Strengths: Clinton is a pacy full forward who leads well and knows exactly where the goals are. He is a reasonable mark, especially on a lead, and his set shot kicking is pretty good.
Young has very good pace for his size, and great agility. He also has the ability to kick the freakish goals on both his natural left foot as well as his right. His pace but reasonable size make him a tough player to match up on.
Weaknesses: Still fairly raw, so would need to work on some aspects of his game. Doesn’t tend to get a lot of possessions, and can flash in and out of games.
Footydraft.com comment: Would be very much a speculative selection, could fail to make any impression but in every game I've seen from him he'll do a few things that make you think he has what it takes. A risky selection, but could be worthwhile.
