Details:
Club: Strathmore/Calder
DOB: 28 August 1986 Hgt: 180cm Wgt: 76kg
Position: Onballer
Natural Foot: Right
Honours:
Victoria Metro 2003, 2004
State Screening Camp 2004
TAC Stats:
2002: 4 games, 1 goal, 7.3 PPG
2003: 18 games, 24 goals, 17.9 PPG
2004: 18 games, 27 goals, 24.3 PPG
Strengths: May is a creative onballer who likes to drift forward and kick a goal. He has clean hands and can be very creative with his play in close. His kicking tends to be fairly accurate, and he covers a lot of territory getting to stoppages.
Dale really knows where the goals are and could definitely be used as a goalsneak as well as onball. He is a very clever player, uses his body well and just has that touch of class about him when he has the footy.
Weaknesses: Still fairly small, May doesn't have super pace, tending to dispose of the ball not long after he has received it. Tends to go short with his kicking as well.
Footydraft.com comment: One of the better performed midfielders in the TAC, May might be looked at for his goal kicking ability.
